Meet The Pros
PGA Director of Instruction
Matthew Gordon
I began the game of golf at the age 3 and have since dedicated over twenty years to working with others to help make golf more enjoyable. I started my career assisting with the opening of Hartefeld National in 1995 in beautiful Avondale, PA. This is where my passion for teaching developed. In 2000 my first golf academy opened at Chisel Creek in Landenberg, PA and remained until 2007 when my wife and I decided to move south to enjoy golf (and the beach) more year round.
Since moving from Wilmington, DE to Wilmington, NC, I had the privilege to work at the esteemed Bald Head Island Country Club which led me to the fabulous teaching facility at Magnolia Greens in Leland, NC which is now my “home away from home”.
When I’m not on the course, I’m enjoying time with my family at the beach, watching lacrosse or playing golf with my kids and just enjoying living in beautiful southeastern coastal Carolina.
